Senior Year and Argentina!
Hello again! It is a little bit crazy to think that this semester marks my first as a senior at Liberty University since I am set to graduate in December. I hope to make the most out of this year, but I am also ready to be done with college for now (I have never been very good at school). That being said, halfway through my senior year I will have another incredible opportunity to both serve and learn a lot. God has been very gracious to bless me with so many opportunities these past few years, but this one will be a bit longer of a trip which is exciting!
I spent some time talking with my dad and looked at where I could spend my summer break learning from and serving a local pastor somewhere in South America. My dad told me about a pastor he knows who has worked with church planting for many years alongside his son in Argentina. Over a few emails, messages, and calls, God opened up the door for a trip to be set up for the summer.
This trip will take place from the middle of May until the very end of July. On this trip I will spend four weeks in the north of Argentina working with two different families that serve with churches they have planted. I will then spend another four to five weeks just outside of the capital city, Buenos Aires, with the pastor who is setting up my summer. God has been so good to use this pastor friend of ours to work out the details of where I will stay and how I will be able to serve them in their churches and ministries. I will also be able to participate in a conference for pastors so I am excited to learn as much as I can from that.
I spent a week over my Christmas break with my girlfriends' family in Buenos Aires. There I was able to see how beautiful the culture is in Argentina as well as the strong need for discipleship in such a big city.
Above is a picture I took of the Argentinian flag while I was there. God loves the people there and wants for them to grow in their knowledge of Him. I have been given such a privilege to be able to learn from the believers there and serve them. I will be going on this trip under ABWE again and I am thankful for the ways that God uses this organization to enable people to go to where God is leading them.
I want to invite you again to ask God if He will have you partner with me in this mission. As always, the first and most important thing you can do is pray. As I am reminded all the time here at Liberty, prayer is absolutely essential for our lives, and I would love to invite you to pray for me as well.
After prayer, if the Lord so leads you to partner with me financially, that can be done through this giving link: https://give.abwe.org/worker/10640
Ultimately I am only a human with a desire to serve God, and He is the one that makes all things possible. This trip is impossible without Him, but He has chosen to invite us to be a part of His mission in making disciples of all nations. Please pray and ask the Lord if He would have you join me as I join His mission.
Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the clouds.
